Anushka Sharma is back on set after an almost four-year absence, having begun filming for her next film, Chakda Xpress. It is a feature film starring Anushka Sharma as Jhulan Goswami, the former captain of the Indian women’s cricket team. The film will be directed by Prosit Roy and produced by Karnesh Ssharma for Netflix and Clean Slate Films.

She made the announcement after sharing clips from her preparation and table reading scenes on social media. On January 6, the actor shared a trailer for the film, praising Goswami’s efforts and contributions to Indian cricket. The actor praised the film as a “very special film” that “celebrates the journey of women cricketers, their successes, and their dedication.”

Actor Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma’s husband, former Indian captain Virat Kohli, were among those who congratulated her on her post with a pair of heart emojis.

Anushka has worked as a producer on Paatal Lok, Bulbbul, and Mai: A Mother’s Rage since her last appearance in Zero with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
