VIDEO: Floods caused by a cloudburst near Amarnath Cave have taken several lives



Kedarnath: There has reportedly been a cloudburst close to Amarnath cave. Five people have reportedly perished as a result of the incident so far, including three women and two males. There were also numerous injuries. For the rescue effort, the NDRF, SDRF, and other partner organisations have been sent to the front. On-site rescue efforts are being conducted like a combat zone. Numerous devotees’ tents have reportedly been damaged as well. According to reports, today’s cloudburst happened about 5:30 pm.

IGP Kashmir has reported that a cloudburst near Amarnath cave has caused some langars and tents to unexpectedly flood. There have also been reports of some deaths. Police, NDRF, and other rescue personnel are actively engaged in rescue operations. For medical attention, the injured are being flown. The situation is in good hands.

According to the Pahalgam Joint Police Control Room, a cloudburst was recorded in the low-lying sections of the Amarnath cave at around 5.30 p.m. Rescue efforts are underway by the NDRF, SDRF, and other organisations. The rescue crews were working, according to the ITBP. Teams from the ITBP and other agencies are working on the rescue effort. There are reports that some persons were lost in the water. Additionally, several individuals have been rescued from the river. It has reportedly been pouring here for a very long time. The cloud then exploded this evening. Following the cloudburst, the procession emerged from among the devotees’ tents.
