Today, July 6, the price of Bitcoin dropped below the USD 20,000 mark in the cryptocurrency market. The largest and most widely used cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, dropped more than 2% in price and was trading at USD19,847.

The market capitalisation of all cryptocurrencies, as reported by CoinGecko, dropped below $1 trillion today after declining by more than 2% from the day before to USD942 billion.

The Ethereum network’s token and second-largest cryptocurrency, Ether, dropped more than 2 percent to USD1,113. Dogecoin’s price was trading over a percent higher at USD0.06, while Shiba Inu’s price rose more than a percent to USD0.000010.

Different cryptocurrencies performed differently today; XRP, Solana, BNB, Litecoin, Stellar, Chainlink, Tron, Uniswap, and Tether values declined while those for Polygon, Apecoin, Avalanche, and Polkadot increased during the past 24 hours.
