The future of Hong Kong will undoubtedly be better: China’s leader

The future of Hong Kong will undoubtedly be brighter if “one nation, two systems” is resolutely defended and put into practise, Chinese President Xi Jinping stated here on Thursday.

Upon arriving at the West Kowloon high-speed rail station, Xi, who is also the general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the leader of the Central Military Commission, declared, “A brighter future will beckon, if we plough ahead with tenacity.”

According to Xi, Hong Kong will undoubtedly have an even brighter future and contribute in new and larger ways to the great revitalization of the Chinese nation as long as “one country, two systems” is upheld unwaveringly. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the motherland, President Xi is in attendance at activities.
