In the drug case connected to the actor’s passing, the Bombay High Court on Monday granted bail to Siddharth Pithani, an ex-flatmate of Sushant Singh Rajput. Rhea Chakraborty is also charged in this case in addition to Siddharth. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) detained Siddharth in May 2021 and charged him with violating section 27(A) of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

In his request for bail, Siddharth said he was falsely accused. Additionally, he had stated that he had never had any narcotics in his hands and that no proof of his involvement in a drug case had been found.

According to reports, Siddharth was granted bail on a bond of Rs. 50,000 by a single bench of Justice Bharti Dangre. He went to the Bombay high court to challenge the reason for the rejection of his bail application after having two previous bail applications refused.

According to rumours, Sushant was discovered dead in his apartment in Mumbai in June 2020. Based on several WhatsApp exchanges and other evidence, the NCB launched an investigation into the matter after discovering connections to the accused drug cartel. Rhea Chakraborty was among those who had been detained in this case along with other others. Currently, most of them are free on bail.

Sushant and other celebrities were allegedly given narcotics by Pithani and other people. Due to this, Pithani was detained by the court after being taken into prison by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Hyderabad in May 2021.
