Sharad Pawar hosts a party meeting despite the political unrest in Maharashtra

In the midst of political unrest inside the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government, which is now in charge in Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), convened a party meeting in Mumbai on Thursday.

Sharad Pawar, the leader of the NCP, is hosting the gathering there. Sunil Tatkare, state home minister Dilip Walse Patil, ministers Jayant Patil and Jitendra Awhad, and deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar are all in attendance at the meeting.
42 MLAs from Maharashtra are present with Eknath Shinde at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Guwahati, Assam. 34 Shiv Sena MLAs and eight Independent MLAs are included, according to the source.

Notably, the political turbulence inside the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra intensified on Thursday morning in Guwahati when seven more MLAs joined the breakaway group of MLAs led by Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde. They arrived at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Guwahati as other MLAs were campaigning for office. Four additional MLAs joined Shinde last night in Guwahati.

A resolution stating that rebel leader Eknath Shinde is still in charge has also been delivered to the state’s governor, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, and was approved by the Shiv Sena Legislative Party with the support of 34 MLAs.
