Rocketry Day 1 box office results for R Madhavan’s The Nambi Effect show promise


The movie Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, directed by R. Madhavan, opened in theatres on Friday. The movie, which Madhavan both wrote and directed, got off to a strong start overseas. The movie outperformed all other Indian releases in the USA. The film entered Malaysia’s Top 10 charts.

Feature producer and industry expert Girish Johar claimed that the Madhavan movie is “leaning towards a niche audience” and is not a “hardcore commercial film” prior to the movie’s premiere.
