Ranchi: A probe into the chants “Pakistan Zindabad” has been ordered

THE RANCHI SUB-DIVISIONAL OFFICER ordered an investigation into alleged ‘Pakistan zindabad’ chants raised before the arrival of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi at Ranchi airport on Sunday.

SDO Deepak Dubey wrote a letter citing a news article about the slogans that were raised. “As per Deputy Commissioner’s instruction, please produce a report validating the contents of the news story within 24 hours,” the order asked the CO Hehal, DSP Hatia.

Meanwhile, Owaisi told reporters that the murders in Ranchi, which were purportedly caused by police firing during the June 10 riots, were the result of both the BJP and the JMM. “The BJP bears responsibility because they did not take action against Nupur Sharma earlier, and JMM bears responsibility because police (under this government) fired on unarmed people and no action has been taken against them,” he said.

“…Tell Congress not to shed crocodile tears,” Owaisi stated, referring to Congress. People were shot because they praised Islam.”
