The statement of Jammu and Kashmir Police has come on these allegations of Rahul. Police said, only authorized persons identified by the organizers who searched the crowd were allowed inside. The managers of the organizers of BJU had not told about the huge crowd joining the yatra from Banihal, which had gathered near the starting point.
The statement further said the organizers did not consult the Jammu and Kashmir Police before taking the decision to close it after traveling for 1 km. The rest of the journey went peacefully. The Bharat Jodo Yatra started on September 7 from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. It will conclude on January 30 in Srinagar.
