Some fascinating details about the movie were also presented on stage as film industry luminaries like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan attended the trailer and music premiere of Mani Ratnam’s film Ponniyin Selvan on Tuesday in Chennai. At the same time, Kamal Haasan disclosed at the occasion that he had plans to adapt Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 into a movie and had Rajinikanth in mind to play Vandhiyathevan, who will now be played by Vikram in the 2022 version.
On September 30, Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 will be released in theatres. Released in Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Telugu. In the movie, which also stars Vikram, Trisha, Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and others, Aishwarya Rai plays two roles.
