Man from Dubai issues a triple talaq over the phone, as the wife’s in-laws were clamouring for her money



Lucknow: The Lucknow PGI employee’s in-laws put pressure on her to pay her wage. When the son refused, the in-laws provoked him and convinced him to perform triple talaq. The husband then called his wife from Dubai and performed triple talaq on her. The victim then reported the incident to PGI Kotwali.

The woman, an Ektanagar resident, wed Hussainganj resident Arif Baig on December 7, 2018. The spouse had relocated to Dubai for work a few months after the wedding. After her spouse left, the victim claims that her in-laws began tormenting her. to bring dowry from home upon request. In the event of a rejection, pressure to pay salary from the job was applied. She was beaten when she refused to listen. The woman repeatedly phoned her spouse to relay this information. But he consistently stood by his family. The upset woman visited her mother’s house. On May 30, the father-in-law delivered the divorce papers to her after they arrived at his home. Upon disagreeing, I persuaded him to speak with Arif.

Arif is accused of saying the triple talaq to the victim during the phone call. The wife was taken aback by her husband’s comments. She made a valiant effort to save the family. The victim filed a complaint with the PFI Kotwali after seeing the outcome. She claims that her father-in-law Sagir Ahmed issued her a divorce fatwa. According to Inspector Devendra Vikram Singh, a case has been filed under the Protection of Rights on Muslim Women Marriage Act against Arif, his father Sagir Ahmed, brothers Atif, Shabnam Bano, and Niyaz Ahmed, in order to conduct an investigation.
