Mahima Chaudhry was diagnosed with breast cancer, according to Anupam Kher. The actor released a video on Instagram in which an emotional Mahima talked about her diagnosis and treatment. After Anupam approached Mahima for a role in his upcoming film The Signature, she claimed that she told him about her breast cancer diagnosis. She said that she discovered she had breast cancer during a routine sonography.
The cancer cells were detected after a biopsy was conducted. Mahima cried when she was told she needed chemotherapy. She was told, however, that she would recover. She went on to describe her mother’s reaction and ensure that she is now okay.
Anupam shared her heartfelt story on Twitter, writing, “Story of @mahimachaudhry1’s resilience and Cancer: I called #MahimaChaudhry from the United States a month ago to ask her to play a key role in my 525th film, #TheSignature. Our discussion moved on to her finding out she has #BreastCancer. What happened next can be found in this open dialogue between us. Many ladies around the world will be inspired by her approach. She wanted me to be a part of her confession. She refers to me as an eternal optimist, but Mahima! “You are my HERO!” exclaims the speaker. Friends! Send your warmest wishes, prayers, and blessings to her. She has returned to the sets where she belongs. She’s all set to take flight. There are so many producers and directors out there!
