While we are all aware that breakfast is the most essential meal of the day, the dietitian provided some easy recommendations that we may use to ensure that we never miss it. She began by describing the disadvantages of skipping breakfast, including decreased stamina, cognitive fog, and weight gain. “In fact, breakfast eaters are known to be smaller, fitter, have more energy, better memory, and are also much healthier,” Kavita told the Hindustan Times. So, only skip this meal if you wish to jeopardise your health. To prevent missing breakfast, get up 30 minutes earlier or prepare breakfast the night before.”

She recommended preserving the stirred vegetables while considering the nutrients you require. “Keep boiled potatoes and sweet potatoes on hand at all times,” she advised. Can quickly put together a vegetable dish such as matar aloo, dahi aloo, potato salad, aloo beans, etc. Make and preserve certain things that may be used later, such as tomato and coriander-mint chutney and onion gravy mix, so you can swiftly utilise them as a curry foundation or sandwich spread.” She also suggested saving time by preparing the next meal while preparing the first.

She also recommended people to include lentils in their daily meals if they have been deficient in vital nutrients for a long period. She went on to say that the lentils are high in protein, fibre, and other key nutrients, and that they can be used creatively with a variety of foods while also helping to make up for a lack of a nutritious diet. She then urged everyone to adopt a “colourful diet” since it is the “easiest and most effective approach to assure well-being and keep a variety of ailments at bay.” A “rainbow platter” should be included in one’s everyday life, according to the dietician, because it “ensures well-being and better illness prevention.” Kavita finished by advising people to “eat whole,” which entails focusing on “incorporating whole grains” into one’s diet and making them 50% of one’s diet.
