“Harbinger of acche din,” say Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Anil Kapoor, and Abhishek Bachchan in a birthday message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Anupam Kher, Anil Kapoor, Sunny Deol, Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and other celebrities sent birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On Saturday, the PM celebrated his 72nd birthday.

Anupam Kher shared a video of Narendra Modi taking the oath of office on Twitter. In Hindi, he wrote “Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi, you are respected! You had a happy birthday! I pray that you live a long and healthy life! You are making every effort to uphold your oath’s obligations! will continue to do so for years! I appreciate your leadership. Dear Prime Minister #Modiji, happy birthday!”

Anil Kapoor posted photos from his meeting with the PM on Twitter. He noted: “Happy Birthday to the man who, in ways we could never have dreamed, put India on the map of the globe. He is the harbinger of acche din (happy days) and the head of our glorious country. May you enjoy a long and healthy life! @narendramodi.”

In a flashback photo, Akshay Kumar is seen talking with the prime minister. On Twitter, he wrote: “Your creativity, friendliness, and work ethic are just a few of the many qualities that I find really motivating. You’re welcome, @narendramodi ji. I wish you good health, joy, and a prosperous new year.”

On Instagram Stories, Kangana Ranaut posted a picture of herself with PM Modi. Happy birthday, Prime Minister @narendramodi, she wrote. What a remarkable journey—from being a young boy serving tea on train stations to becoming the most powerful person on the globe… We wish you a long, long life, but you are immortal like Gandhi, Rama, and Krishna. Sunny Deol posted a picture while shaking PM Modi’s hand. Wishing Dear Prime Minister @narendramodiji a terrific year ahead and lots of health, he added in his message. “Wishing our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodiji on his birthday,” posted Abhishek Bachchan. Tweeted Nimrat Kaur, “Happy birthday to our honourable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodiji, please. May the new year bring you the best health and fortune. #HappyBirthdayModiji.”

Ajay Devgn shared a picture of himself with the PM smiling and reading a book. Ajay used both Hindi and English as the captions “Honorable Prime Minister @narendramodi, happy birthday. I am motivated by your leadership, as is (country flag emoji). I hope you have a healthy year ahead, Sir. @PMOIndia.” Riteish Deshmukh tweeted a picture of the prime minister and said, “Happy birthday to our honourable prime minister, Shri @narendramodiji. May God grant you long life and good health, Sir. #HappyBirthdayModiji.”
