Eight Years of Fugly: The Comedy Drama That Launched Kiara Advani and Vijender Singh’s Film Career

Fugly by Kabir Sadanand has been out for eight years. On June 13, 2014, the film Fugly, produced by Akshay Kumar, was released. The comedy-drama included Kiara Advani, Jimmy Sheirgill, Mohit Marwah, and boxer-turned-actor Vijender Singh among its prominent cast.

Despite the fact that Fugly did not perform well at the box office, the film garnered a lot of discussion when it was released. The film’s theme song was noteworthy since it featured Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan.

Akshay Kumar’s once-in-a-lifetime double shift:

In the industry, Akshay is known for avoiding working multiple shifts. However, for this picture, the actor made an exception and performed a rare double shift. Akshay Kumar shot his flick Gabbar in Pune for the first half of the day. In the second portion of the day, the actor shot the title song for the film Fugly. The title song was shot at Bandra’s Mehboob Studio.

The cast of Fugly was enthralling:

Kiara Advani and Vijender Singh, among others, were among the cast members of Fugly. With this film, Kiara made her acting debut. Fugly was also Olympic Champion Vijender Singh’s first film. The Kabir Sadanand directed film followed the lives of four close friends as they battled a corrupt cop. Kiara went on to star in films such as MS Dhoni, Machine, and Shershaah after Fugly.

Kiara was most recently seen in Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The horror comedy has performed exceptionally well at the box office, becoming one of the year’s biggest hits. Next up for the 29-year-old is Varun Dhawan’s Jug Jugg Jeeyo.
