‘Desi Expendables’: Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, and Mithun Chakraborty begin filming for Baap, and Sunny Deol declares, ‘dhai kilo ka haath leke…’


Jacky Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, and Sunny Deol, all of whom rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s, are slated to star in a film together. On Thursday, the four actors unveiled their new film Baap. The stars took to social media to announce that they have begun filming on the action picture as well.

As Sunny Deol was absent on the first day of shooting, Jackie Shroff posted a photo of himself with Suniel and Sanjay and captioned it, “Jahan chaar yaar mil jaaye….arre chautha kidhar hain bhidu….,” “First day of shoot and @iamsunnydeol already bunking…,” Sanjay Dutt commented on Instagram, tagging Sunny Deol and reposting Jackie’s photo. Paaji, where have you gone? #BAAPofallfilms.” “Tum log kaafi fit lag rahe hu,” Sunny replied on Instagram. “Main bhi apna dhai kilo ka haath leke aa raha hu,” says the protagonist.

Fans reacted positively to seeing the four actors on screen together for the first time as soon as Jackie shared this photo on Instagram. Sunny and Jackie have previously worked together in JP Dutta’s Border. “Dada, Baba, Mithun Da…,” one fan wrote. Sunny Paji, the one and only! According to rumours, filmmaker Vivek Chauhan will direct Baap. Sanjay, Mithun, and Jackie have begun shooting for the film’s first schedule in Mumbai, according to a source close to the project. “The picture is billed as the baap of action films,” the insider continues. The film began production on Thursday in Mumbai and will be shot in a variety of Indian locations. The film’s crew is trying to finish filming in under a month, so all of the performers and cast members are putting in a lot of work. The movie is set to hit theatres in the second half of 2023.”

The film’s official announcement is still pending. Ahmed Khan, the director of Heropanti 2, is said to be supporting the idea.

Mithun Chakraborty was most recently seen in Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files, while Jackie Shroff was most recently seen in Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi and is now gearing up for the release of Aditya Roy Kapoor’s Om: The Battle Within. Sanjay Dutt, who starred alongside Yash and Raveena Tandon in KGF: Chapter 2, will next be seen in Ranbir Kapoor’s Shamshera.
