Congress doesn’t believe the Army’s remarks against China: BJP


The BJP on Monday mocked the opposition party and questioned why it did not have faith in the Army’s statement in light of the Congress’s criticism of the Prime Minister’s silence about what it claimed to be a “growing Chinese infiltration” into Indian territory.

Speaking to the reporters at the BJP headquarters, party spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi claimed that Congressman Gaurav Gogoi had also mentioned the denial of similar assertions by the late Chief of the Defence Staff Bipin Rawat.

Trivedi further criticised the Congress for what he claimed was party leadership involvement in the money laundering issue involving the National Herald. He claimed that the only party whose current and former presidents are free on bail due to a corruption investigation is the Congress.
