On Thursday, actor Rajkummar Rao expressed his enthusiasm for his new movie, HIT – The First Case, which provided him the chance to work in the action genre for the first time. Sailesh Kolanu, who had previously directed the original movie, is in charge of directing the suspense thriller, which is a replica of the 2020 Telugu hit of the same name.
In HIT (Homicide Intervention Team), performed by Rao, a police officer named Vikram follows the trail of a missing woman while battling post-traumatic stress disorder. Sanya Malhotra is also a star in the movie. Rao, a skilled martial artist, claimed that taking part in the action in HIT was a lot of fun.

Before HIT, nobody gave me something to do. I had a great time with it. Action is genuine, natural, and unprocessed. I’m proud of this movie since it shows me in a new light. The actor told reporters at the premiere of the movie’s trailer, “It is a good investigative thriller.
Rao said he hopes HIT sparks a much-needed dialogue in this manner, as his 2010 black comedy Judgementall Hai Kya also dealt with mental health issues. “People aren’t aware that they are going through it. Therefore, it is crucial to have that discussion. I’m happy that we might start that conversation with our movie. Like how the entertaining movie Badhaai Do shows the protagonists’ suffering in the final 20 minutes. The character in this instance carries that burden throughout the movie, he continued.
Kolanu claimed that his goal was to create a police universe via HIT. We have created a second case, just like in Telugu, and we want to create one in Hindi as well. I intend to develop a police universe. I want to gather all the officers under one roof. We’ll work with Raj and Sanya on following instances through their personal arcs. The goal is to create a vast police universe where lines between good and bad are blurred, according to the director.
“The adventure has begun with this movie. Rao continued, “Like this is HIT the first case, then there is the second case.
Kolanu claimed he made sure not to create an exact replica of his original Telugu film for the Hindi remake. “There was a deliberate attempt made to avoid copying and pasting. The movie shares the same heart. We didn’t want to imitate my concept; instead, we wanted to recreate it and scale it up. We unlearned and did our best to create a brand-new movie, he remarked.

Malhotra expressed her delight at finally having a theatrical release. Photograph, which debuted in theatres in 2019, was her most recent motion picture. Recent releases on streaming services include Ludo, Shakuntala Devi, Pagglait, and Meenakshi Sundareshwar.
“I am anticipating the movie. I’m eager to see myself on a larger screen as a spectator. “OTT is lovely, but seeing movies in theatres has a different kind of thrill,” she remarked.
