In the end, Amitabh Bachchan is really similar to us; he daily scrolls through social media and leaves comments and likes whenever he feels like it. On a post that his Runway 34 co-star Ajay Devgn published on Wednesday, the venerable actor left a comment.
Ajay had posted a photo of himself and Bol Bachchan director Rohit Shetty on the comedy film’s set to commemorate the movie’s tenth anniversary. It displayed Ajay aiming a prop gun at Rohit while the camera was pointed at Ajay. “Two Bol Bachchans shooting each other,” the actor wrote as the caption for the photo.
Amitabh spoke without skipping a beat, asking, “Are yaar ‘teesre’ ko bhi bula lo na shooting karne (Oh man, why won’t you call the third one to shoot as well)?” Bol Bachchan didn’t include Amitabh, but he did show up in the title song. His son Abhishek Bachchan, Asin, and Prachi Desai also acted in the movie.
Bol Bachchan, which was released in 2012, eventually made over Rs 100 crore in India. The films Chennai Express, Dilwale, Singham Returns, Golmaal Again, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi that Rohit Shetty produced in the aftermath were all box office successes. Cirkus, his upcoming movie, is set for release later this year.
This year, Ajay had four films come out: Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, his streaming debut; and two supporting roles in RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi. He also produced and directed the underwhelming movie Runway 34, which had Amitabh and Rakul Preet Singh in supporting parts. Since then, he has started making Bholaa, his upcoming movie as a filmmaker.
