After losing in the Asian Cup qualifications, the Afghans attacked the Indian squad

After the AFC Asian Cup qualifying match at the VYBK Stadium in Kolkata, a group of players from India and Afghanistan began fighting. After India’s 2-1 victory over Afghanistan, both teams’ players got involved in a push-and-forth.

The Indian team earned three points after defeating Afghanistan 2-1 in a hard-fought Group-D encounter in Kolkata. With a free-kick goal (85′), Sunil Chhetri has once again demonstrated his wizardry. Afghanistan’s players have also expressed their displeasure with India after losing the match.

Three Afghan and two Indian players can also be seen pressing in a video extensively circulated on social media before the altercation intensifies. Despite Indian goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh’s best efforts to calm the players on both sides, the Afghan players shoved him. When AFC officials saw this, they raced to the ground, but the brawl just became worse. The reason for the attack is unknown. So yet, the AFC Asian Cup qualifications’ organising organisation has mentioned nothing regarding the occurrences.
